Least Concern

The Cedar Waxwing is one of the sleekest, most elegant birds in North America! They have silky plumage, a black mask like a superhero, and a crest that sweeps back. Their wing feathers have bright red tips that look like drops of sealing wax!

Waxwings are incredibly social and sometimes pass berries beak-to-beak down a line of birds! They love fruit so much they sometimes eat fermented berries and get a little tipsy.
