Canada Goose

Branta canadensis

Least Concern

The Canada Goose is famous for its black head and neck with white 'chinstrap' marking. These loud, bold birds fly in a distinctive V-formation during migration, honking as they go.

Canada geese are very protective parents and will hiss at anything that comes too close to their goslings. They've become common in parks and golf courses throughout North America.
